My name is Shanda, and I’m so happy you found Afrology Hair Products! The message we carry now is the same that I’ve carried for years: put good into your scalp and get good out. I can proudly say my mother instilled healthy hair care habits in me since I was a little girl. We bonded over her doing my hair and growing up, she was always there to make sure I was using the right ingredients for the best health.
Unfortunately in 2019, I was diagnosed with PCOS, a disorder that disrupts the balance of female hormone in the body. Because of this, I experienced different forms of hair loss. By Summer 2020, my hair was breaking off, my edges were getting thin, and I could tell my hair wasn’t as healthy as I knew it to be. I was devastated, so I knew I had to do something.
Literally for as long as I could remember, people always asked me what’s my secret, and since my hair was falling out, I had to take a step back and ask myself “what really is my secret?”
So now here we are: I’m ready to share my secret with the world and I actually can’t wait for you to try it. It doesn’t take much to have healthy, beautiful hair at whatever length you want. Afrology will show you that.
